This is a 30 cauldron spoon made from Black Cherry. I like the durable build and sturdy feel. Great for outdoor cooking, reenacting and renaissance events. There is a slight angle in the spoon part that allows for it to serve food as well. The spoon portion is 4 inches by 8 inches and holds 3/4 cup.

I modeled this after a very old cauldron spoon I purchased at an antique store. It looked well used complete scorch marks. It withstood a lot of use and so will this one.

The wood was worked down by hand and then sanded smooth down to 400 grit. After which I raised the grain and re-sanded smooth. It was then treated with food grade mineral oil and finished with a food grade beeswax/carnauba formula. A complimentary small tin food of safe beeswax/carnauba wax is included as well as a small bottle of mineral oil to keep it looking sharp.
